User Submitted Related Links Feature Requests

Just a quick idea for making it possible for users to add their own "Related Links" to a Scoop story, as opposed to having to post them as a comment.

I'm suggesting this because it would make it easier to find related links, instead of having to sift through a story to find user posted links that relate. The main problems I can see are: How would these added URLs be rated? Putting a dropdown box next to each one would be clunky and take up a lot of space (not to mention be graphically unattractive). Perhaps a link to a seperate page that allows you to quickly rate all the links (As well as see the time submitted, who submitted it, etc) would be the way to go. Would this be too much work for too little return, or is it an idea worth looking into further?

How about an "add related link" button leading to a form "Link text" (say, 40 chars, max), link URL. Chance to validate would be helpful. Gets added as "reader-submitted links" on main story page. Expanded view of same shows who submitted what links.
