creative commons Feature Requests

has anyone considered adding a licensing option to their submit pages, a drop down that lets users choose all reserved or one of the creative commons models.

ideally, the selection would result in a box of preformatted text below the story stating the nature of the license and a link to the public copy.

if you have any ideas on how such a thing could be reasonably executed, i'd appreciate the input.

Will be coded (none / 0) (#1)

This has been discussed and will likely be a site option in future Scoop versions. Join scoop-dev and code it yourself if you want it to be there faster. It would be neat to be submit this directly to the Creative Commons directory in the background, but I don't think they currently provide a web service for that, which would mean HTML form mangling (ugly).
